Bambusa longinternode is a clumping tropical bamboo, native of Yunnan – China. It has strong culms with very thick walls. The culms can reach 10 to 15 meters in height with a diameter of 6 to 12 cm. Its internodes are much longer than of most bamboos
Habitat
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil but can grow in nutritionally poor soil.
Uses:
Bambusa long internode is used for construction, crafts and flute-making, basketry, biomass, and paper pulp. Its culms are straight, making it good for landscaping
