Uganda Bamboo Association receives machinery for making vinegar from bamboo shoots

Uganda Bamboo Association has established a women's Chapter in collaboration with the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and Makerere University Department of agricultural engineering.

The women's project entitled BioVin comes with a state of art boiler for making Biochar (activated charcoal), vinegar from Bamboo including Diesel from plastics and other products from wood and other waste.

float:left;The project will be a source of income for the team members who are six women and 1 man. Mr. Mukama Emmanuel. It will be of Benefit to UBA members who will be trained in the making the said products and will have access to the technology and market for the products.

This project has been initiated by Ms. Paula Kyabaggu and 5 women. It is an addition to UBA Enterprise demonstration centre.
